City of Sydney council has appointed Belmadar to revitalise the historic Brick Kilns and chimneys within Sydney Park.
With special attention to safeguarding the cultural and historical significance of these structures while facilitating their integration into the surrounding public domain. This encompasses the conservation of three smaller down-draught kilns, along with two larger Hardy Patent kilns and Hoffman kilns.
Heritage interpretation will be incorporated, featuring moveable heritage technology that illustrates the historic brick-making processes as well as a focus on enhancing the connectivity between the precinct and the broader Sydney Park area, thereby fostering a cohesive and accessible environment that pays tribute to the site's historical value.
Belmadar is looking forward to work closely with the City of Sydney to ensure a world-class restoration outcome that honours this site's history.
