Belmadar was engaged in converting an existing two-storey building into a new mixed-use office space for a Sydney University department. Located off-campus, works to the building included rearrangement of the internal space, furniture installation, fixtures and equipment and adjustments to mechanical, hydraulic and electrical services. Belmadar completed the project within a short time frame while operating under the constraints of a small site footprint. The greatest challenge was connecting a remote off-campus faculty to the University’s IT infrastructure. This was achieved by running end-user workshops and forward planning. This allowed the faculty to transition seamlessly into their new workspace without interruption to crucial ongoing research.
