Since 2015, Belmadar has supported the Garvan Institute of Medical Research at the NSW City2Surf!

Throughout the years, we have raised over $120,000 to support Garvan's research into Myelodysplasia (MDS) and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), the blood disorders that eventually took the inspiring and much loved Domenico Marrocco, Belmadar's original founder.

Today, we had the privilege to visit the Garvan Institute for a tour and conversation with Dr Jim Blackburn about his life-changing research into cancer-associated fusion genes, made possible by donors like Belmadar. It was a fantastic morning and a big thank you to the @garvaninstitute for having us.
